Johnson City: Performance by the Sybarite5 string quintet

On Feb. 22, the Sybarite5 string quintet brings its innovative programming – from Bowie to Radiohead and Akiho to Assad – and new sounds to Johnson City for a 7:30 p.m. performance at First Presbyterian Church. Their mission, they say, is to engage the senses and redefine the rules, and music reviewers have taken notice.
“It’s important for us to look at classical music from different angles and perspectives and with a sense of adventure,” DeAngelis says. “I think Sybarite5 will help us do that.”
