Johnson County: Lawn Chair Concert

Johnson County Arts Center Lawn Chair Concert: Harbin Hill Farms
We are pleased to announce the first of this season’s “lawn chair concerts” at the Mountain Music Stage at Harbin Hill Farms. This concert will benefit the Johnson County Arts Center, to help finance their new building.
The concert will be held on Saturday evening, June 9, 2018 (rain date tbd, if needed). Gates will open at 5:00 pm; the concert will begin at 5:30. Featured performers represent a central element of the legacy of mountain music in Johnson County (beginning with the late “Fiddlin’ Fred” Price), and will include Kenny Price, Lois Price Dunn, and fourth-generation pickers, Kyman and Andrew Matherly.
Bring a lawn chair, or a blanket, and come early for a good seat. A local food vendor will be available, so bring your appetite and enjoy dinner on the green. Tickets are on sale NOW at the Arts Center for just $10 for adults, with children under 12 admitted free. Tickets purchased at the gate will cost $12.
The venue is conveniently located just 3.5 miles from town — three miles west on Rt. 67 to a left at the second Harbin Hill Road, and one-half mile up the hill to Harbin Hill Farms. The entrance is well marked, and there is ample parking available. Mark your calendars, and don’t miss what we expect to be an outstanding, family-friendly musical event in support of our growing arts community.
