Jonesborough: Masterpiece Reveal
April 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Tickets for Masterpiece Reveal are now available. This year’s event will be an in-person and online, hybrid event. Masterpiece Reveal, formally known as Masterpiece Mingle, sold out in 2018 and 2019. This year, the event will feature an exhibit of 125 works of art, and each ticket holder will receive one of these works. The artwork, which has been donated by regional artists, includes such mediums as watercolor, acrylic, ceramics, fabric art, jewelry, woodwork, and more.
So, how does a hybrid event work? You’ll purchase your ticket for the online Facebook Live event. You will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. Then, you will go to the McKinney Center’s Facebook page and “like” the McKinney Center’s page. This is the page that you will access for the live event that will be aired on Friday, April 23, at 7 p.m. On Monday, April 19, the Masterpiece Reveal exhibition will be open to the public for viewing. You may see the pieces through the week, prior to the Facebook Live Event. Silent auction items will also be on view during the week. Each Masterpiece Reveal artwork will have a number directly beside it in the exhibition. On Friday, April 23 at 7 p.m., tune in to the Facebook Live event where the McKinney Center Director, Theresa Hammons, and the McKinney Center staff will be starting the video. They will have a list of everyone who purchased a ticket. They will announce your name and then pull a number from a bowl. They’ll take the number to the corresponding piece. That corresponding piece will be the item you get to take home. The event is expected to last one hour. On Saturday, April 24, and Monday, April 26 there will be designated times for you to pick up your Masterpiece at the McKinney Center located in Jonesborough.
The McKinney Center will also host a Silent Auction including gift baskets from downtown businesses, large works of art, packs of art supplies, and more. The items in the auction will be included in a Silent Auction photo album on the McKinney Center’s Facebook page. Starting on Monday, April 19, the Silent Auction will be open to the public for viewing.
Only bids made in the photo comment box will be valid. You may bid throughout the week. Bidding will end on Friday, April 23, at 8 p.m.
This unique event serves as the signature annual fundraiser for the McKinney Center. Even though this event is a fundraiser, due to changes this year, the ticket price will only be $25.
Tickets are limited. For more information and to purchase tickets visit mckinneycenter.com.
