Jonesborough: Music on the Square

Live music in downtown Jonesborough returns Friday, May 3 with Music on the Square in front of the Washington County Courthouse on Main Street in downtown Jonesborough. Music on the Square takes place each Friday evening May 3 through September 27 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Music on the Square is a free event open to the public. This season, Music on the Square will feature a diverse range of music including bluegrass, jazz, rock, americano and blues. Music on the Square will take place during Jonesborough Days this year.

The 2024 Music on the Square lineup order is Trey Hensley & Rob Ickes, Cruz Contreras, Peterson Perkins Quartet, Ferd Band, Aaron Mills Project, Johnson City Jazz Collective, Empty Bottle String Band, Blue Ridge Girls, Zondo, YeeHaw String Band, Roxanne and the Big Bad Buzz, Dave Eggar, Johnson City Community Concert Band, J.P. Mathes & Fiddling Leona, Kris Truelsen & the Farm and Fun Time Band, Palmyra, Blue Ridge Gathering, Caleb Caudle, Florencia & the Feeling, Aaron Vance, Sam Lewis and the Swingbillies of BooneTown.

There will be a rotating food truck every week.

New Music on the Square merchandise is available for purchase at the information table every Friday night during the event. They are also available at the Jonesborough Visitors Center, located at 117 Boone Street.
