Jonesborough: Music on the Square

Lover’s Leap to play Music on the Square on May 10^th, 7pm in Downtown Jonesborough

Now it its 21^st season, Music on the Square in Jonesborough is in full swing for 2019, and the second show of the year on Friday, May 10th will feature bluegrass supergroup Lover’s Leap, a brand new partnership of musicians Shelby Means (Sally & George, formerly of Della Mae), Mary Lucey (formerly of Biscuit Burners), Joel Timmons (Sally & George, Sol Driven Train), and Billy Cardine (Acoustic Syndicate, formerly of Biscuit Burners). Show starts at 7:00 p.m. in front of the Washington County Courthouse on Main Street.

Your visit to Historic Jonesborough in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains would not be complete without attending our Music on the Square weekly music festival. It’s music at its best with the townscape of downtown Jonesborough as the setting. Music on the Square provides live concerts featuring a variety of music that ranges from Americana, Bluegrass, Celtic, Irish, Old-Time, Blues and Jazz.

Held each Friday evening, May through September, Main Street is blocked off to through traffic, and all are invited to bring a chair and enjoy the concerts that begin at 7:00 p.m.
