Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Show
March 25, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

On March 25 at 7PM at the International Storytelling Center, the Yarn Exchange Radio Show presents an episode filled with inspiring stories in their March production, “Church, Religion, and Mama’s Ten Commandments.”
The stories presented in the popular scripted radio show originate with real people from the Northeast Tennessee region. The Yarn Exchange, a flagship program of Jonesborough’s Storytown Initiative, has been presenting true stories of the region to the stage for more than seven years.
This month is a celebration of women’s voices from the area to commemorate Women’s History Month. The show will also explore inspiring stories about experiences past and present within and around area churches. Residents from artists to scholars to farmers and athletes all contributed stories to be developed for this production, all dealing with personal experiences in these spiritual settings.
In addition, the cast will be joined by musical guest favorite Rhodyjane Meadows and Thistle Dew out of Asheville, North Carolina. This popular trio performs all over the region, and their last appearance on the Yarn Exchange in 2018 resulted in a sold-out production.
Tickets are only $5 and are available by calling the Visitors Center at 423-753-1010 or online at Jonesborough.com/tickets
Advance tickets are recommended. The production is sponsored in part by the Tennessee Arts Commission.
