With a rich, deep voice and distinctive style, Josh Turner has sold more than 12 million units, is a disciple of traditional country music and one of the youngest members of the Grand Ole Opry. Turner’s hits include “Your Man,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” “Firecracker,” “Would You Go with Me,” “All Over Me,” and “Time Is Love,” the most played country song of 2012. A Hannah, S.C., native Turner is currently on the road in support of his latest radio single, “Hometown Girl,” which Rolling Stone Country notes, “pairs the South Carolina native’s unmistakable, country-to-the-core baritone with a modern, rollicking beat.”
“King University is proud to include this event in our celebration of King’s 150th-anniversary,” said Denise Asbury, director of Development at King. “Josh Turner is a tremendous country artist, and we look forward to a wonderful evening of entertainment. Bristol and King share a rich history and legacy together, and it is fitting that we include and welcome the community to share in celebration our first 150 years.”
“March 31st will be a special day as Josh Turner brings his talents to Viking Hall. Our students are excited,” said Rob Littleton, Ed.D., vice president of Student Affairs at King University. “This is a great kick off to Dogwood, our alumni weekend March 31 – April 2.”
