Kingsport hosting kids’ Fortnite Tournament

Kingsport’s Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a fun-filled evening of fort building – both physically and electronically – at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex.

The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on January 19 and children of all ages can attend. Admission is any canned goods. There will be two types of fort building during the event.

• Fortnight Tournament: Children ages 12 & under will compete in a Fortnite tournament on the XBOX Series X and Playstation 5 systems. Feel free to bring your Nintendo Switch as well.
• Build-a-Fort Night: Have fun building your own fort using cardboard boxes.

Kingsport Parks and Recreation officials are asking folks to register to know approximately how many people will be showing up.
