Literary Panel Discussion: Far Away and Close to Home
On February 16, join us at the McKinney Center for a panel discussion with local librarians and educators. Where does the field of children’s literature stand today? How has the field changed since Rhea Wells? What challenges do libraries face today? Why are libraries important? Our panel will tackle these topics and more as they honor Rhea Wells’ legacy of advocacy. This program is a part of the Far Away and Close to Home: The Art and Words of Author/Illustrator Rhea Wells’ exhibit, presented by the Heritage Alliance and funded in part by a grant from Humanities Tennessee, an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
