You still have a chance to enjoy the spectacle of “Pink Floyd – The Dark Side of the Moon” in the planetarium theater at Bays Mountain Park. But act soon because there are only four dates left this year to experience this amazing show.
Showings are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on October 9 and 16 and on November 20 and 27. Ticket prices are $10 per person for park members and $15 per person for non-members.
This 45-minute program combines an incredible surround mix of the music with breathtaking views of the solar system and beyond. Each song has a different theme with some futuristically looking forward and some a retro acknowledgment to Pink Floyd’s visual history.
Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon is a truly immersive experience that will transcend reality and take you beyond the realms of a 2-D experience.
“All of the visuals relate to a time and space experience, embracing up-to-the-minute technology that only a planetarium can offer,” said Planetarium Director Jason Dorfman. “We believe fans of astronomy and Pink Floyd will be blown away by this program, so be sure to get your tickets now.”

The program comes to Bays Mountain Park thanks to the generous support of the Bays Mountain Park Association. For more information about Bays Mountain Park and its programs, events and activities, visit www.baysmountain.com.

The city is widely known as a planned community, designed by renowned city planner John Nolen and wrapping around the foot of Bays Mountain – a 3,788-acre park, nature preserve, planetarium and observatory. Kingsport is recognized as an International Safe Community by the National Safety Council, a Healthier Tennessee community, and won the 2009 Harvard Innovations in American Government Award for its higher education initiatives.
