Rocky Mount State Historic Site Opening Day

Rocky Mount State Historic Site will open on Tuesday, March 5th for its 57th year in operation.
Rocky Mount is the historic farm of early settler William Cobb. And it was it was the capital of the Southwest Territory (the predecessor of the State of Tennessee) when Governor William Blount stayed with the Cobb Family from late 1790 through early 1792. Today, this 37-acre living history museum presents the life and times of early Northeast Tennesseans in the late 18th Century.
Rocky Mount is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. through the second Saturday in December. For more information, call (423) 538-7396 or visit our website (www.rockymountmuseum.com).
