Rogersville New Year’s Eve Celebration
For the first time, Rogersville will celebrate New Year’s Eve downtown.
“This event is about bringing people together and giving our community something special to enjoy on New Year’s Eve,” Mayor John Metz said in a press release. “We want families, friends and neighbors to come downtown, support our local businesses and welcome the new year together — as one Rogersville family.”
There will be live music starting at 8 p.m., according to a press release. The Zach Elkins Band will open, followed by The Countdown Crew — a new collaboration between Hooch and Night Moves.
There will also be fireworks and a midnight ball drop. The event is open to all ages.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair and park at First Baptist Church and the Town of Rogersville parking lot.
All downtown restaurants will stay open late, the press release said, and are currently accepting reservations.
Portions of Main, Depot, Church and Washington streets will close at 1 p.m. on Dec. 31 to prepare for the event.
