Stars, Stripes and Symphonies Concert

June 28 @ 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Celebrate our nation with Stars, Stripes and Symphonies concert

The Symphony of the Mountains in partnership with Kingsport Cultural Arts is pleased to announce its Stars, Stripes and Symphonies concert will be held later this month at the Toy F. Reid Employee Center.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 28 for a fun-filled evening of patriotic music at the Eastman Employee Center. Pre-concert activities will take place from 4:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with the main concert beginning at 7 p.m.

This festive event has something for everyone, including face painting, bucket drumming, corn hole matches, the EZ Squeezy lemonade truck (and other local food trucks) and even a few surprises!

Enjoy your favorite patriotic tunes performed live by the Symphony of the Mountains. The concert is the perfect event for kicking off your Fourth of July celebration just a little bit early.

Tickets are $10 for adults, and kids and students get in free, so bring the whole family for an evening of music, games, and summer fun.

You can purchase tickets at MySOTM.org or at the door on the day of the event.

About the City of Kingsport

Founded in 1917, the City of Kingsport (pop. 55,400) is located on the Tennessee-Virginia border at the crossroads of I-81 and I-26 near the geographic center of the eastern United States. The city is widely known as a planned community, designed by renowned city planner John Nolen and wrapping around the foot of Bays Mountain – a 3,750-acre park, nature preserve, planetarium and observatory. Kingsport is recognized as an International Safe Community by the National Safety Council, a Healthier Tennessee community, and won the 2009 Harvard Innovations in American Government Award for its higher education initiatives. While many city names are duplicated throughout the U.S., there’s only one Kingsport – a fact that invokes community pride, known locally as the “Kingsport Spirit.” For more information, please visit www.kingsporttn.gov.
