Storytown Radio Show
Get ready for an evening of laughter and heartfelt stories with “Black and White and Shades of Gray.” This show will feature stories about objects and places that are literally black and white, like a piano and outer space. We’ll also have stories about situations that turned out to be more complicated than they originally seemed, shades of gray.
Join StoryTown as we share regional stories about music teachers, rocket clubs eager to compete with Sputnik, moments from the rich African American history of our area, and much more! The music guest for this production is Junction 4961. This local band is making their Radio Show debut and will be, “Serving up all of your favorite classic rock and blues.”
The production takes place at 7 p.m. on February 23 at the Jonesborough Visitors Center. Tickets are $10 and available online at Jonesborough.com/tickets or by calling the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center at 423.753.1010. The January show sold out, so make sure you get your tickets today. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Get there early to get a good seat, delicious concessions, and rent a comfy seat cushion. Season passes for the 2026 season are also available at https://townofjonesborough.
The Radio Show is also recorded for broadcast on local NPR station WETS 89.5 out of Johnson City, which can be heard on the last Wednesday of the month at 8 p.m. StoryTown is sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission, Gary and Sandee Degner, Terry and Sandy Countermine, Doug and Denise Gross, Herman and Beverly Jenkins, the Wild Women of Jonesborough, and Wolfe Development.
