Park at Deery Inn

Sullivan County will host a special dedication and ribbon-cutting for a new sign installed to denote the Park at Deery Inn. The dedication and ribbon-cutting will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 12, 2018, in downtown Historic Blountville at the sign located behind the Sullivan County Courthouse and Old Deery Inn.
Still in developmental stages, the Park at Deery Inn is a planned community park located along Muddy Creek behind the Old Deery Inn. Future plans call for installment of four to five picnic tables and shelters, along with shrub and tree plantings throughout the grounds. The park is designed to enhance the overall plans for future development of the downtown historic district, and to provide a place where community events and private parties may be hosted.
