Eagle Wings Motorcycle Association To Host Tennessee District Spring Fling Rally

JOHNSON CITY, TN –  Springtime has graced the mountains of Northeast Tennessee and the sound of vrooming motorcycles is nearing Johnson City in anticipation of the 2nd Annual Tennessee District Spring Fling Rally by Eagle Wings Motorcycle Association (EWMA) on April 25-27 at Holiday Inn Johnson City. Since last year’s successful rally, EWMA has been planning extensively for this annual event, which is expected to return stronger than the last.

“EWMA has a love for fun, safety, and riding. We chose Johnson City again this year, because the rally attendees enjoyed the great riding and beautiful scenery of the region,” said Richard and Connie Pendleton, Tennessee District Directors for EWMA.

Organizers are expecting over 250 motorcyclists from around the country and Canada at this year’s event. Participants will be led on three guided rides showcasing the South’s greatest motorcycle rides, The Southern Dozen. In addition to riding, these enthusiasts will explore the region’s vast array of restaurants, retailers, and attractions.

The Southern Dozen is a series of rides that begin in Johnson City and go out into Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina. These thirteen rides are represented through easy-to-use itineraries, along more than 1,100 miles of scenic roadways. Lodging, shopping, cultural attractions, dining, outdoor activities, and historical sites are highlighted along each ride, with the beauty of the region being the connective theme throughout them all.

“Hosting motorcycle associations, such as EWMA, brings an influx of visitor spending to our community. It is estimated this event will bring a total economic impact of $214,000 including $7,500 in local tax collection.
