Watauga Lake Triathlon
August 18, 2018
The Watauga Lake Triathlon was inspired by the picturesque countryside and pristine waters of Watauga Lake. Watauga literally means “beautiful water” and it certainly holds true to its given name. Watauga holds the distinction of being the highest reservoir (more than 1900 feet above sea level) in the Tennessee river system. Surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest and flanked by the Appalachain Mountains, Watauga Reservoir is arguably the most scenic in the Tennessee River Watershed.
PLEASE REMEMBER: This is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event. Current USAT members will need to show their membership card and photo ID when they pick up their race packet. If you are a non-USAT member who is registering on race day or has not otherwise paid the $15 one-day license fee, make sure you have cash for this when you pick up your race packet.
PACKET PICK-UP: You can pick up your race packets the morning of the race at the event site between 6:30 and 7:30 am.
