Kayak Session

Interested in kayaking but don’t know where to start? Basic kayaking training and practice is now available in Kingsport on Thursdays at the Kingsport Aquatic Center! During the winter months (October-April), the indoor pool is sectioned off specifically for kayakers to practice basic paddling techniques. Each Outpost will choose one or more trails in their area to work on and will encourage all Outpost members to participate in clearing and cleaning the chosen trail(s). Join one of our free, naturalist-led hikes for a chance to see dozens of flower species native to East Tennessee as they come into bloom. We’ll hike at Bays Mountain Park and Laurel Run Park on the dates listed below. The varieties of flowers can be quite different at each park because of the difference in elevation.
