Glamping in Northeast Tennessee

Have you been looking for the perfect relaxing girls trip, family getaway, or outdoor venue in Northeast Tennessee?

Mountain Escape

Check out glamping in Northeast Tennessee! It’s all the fun of camping with included creature comforts. Think of a beautiful night spent under the stars with a belly full of s’mores—but also having access to modern fully operational bathroom facilities and a real bed with a comfortable mattress.

Northeast Tennessee has multiple Glamping options, but one of our favorites is a small resort just outside of Erwin Tennessee called Glamping Retro. Whether you’re looking to unwind and unplug— or throw one heck of a celebration, this venue’s strength is in its versatility. Glamping Retro perfectly balances the outdoors with all the comforts of home.

Creature Comforts

The resort is situated in a lush mountain valley within walking distance of the Appalachian Trail. If guests choose to get on the AT, they can hike a couple miles through serene forests and up to an enormous rock formation called High Rocks. Once there they’ll find awe inspiring views of the Blueridge Mountain Range.

Glamping Retro has a lot of options to meet folks’ needs. Guests can book anything from a fully outfitted treehouse, to vintage airstream RVs, or multi room tents that include a kitchenette and full bath. Or they can go more basic and rent small tents containing just a couple comfy day beds.

Accessibility to Nature

All the tents are built on solid wooden platforms and a few even have gently sloped ramps to make them more accessible. The resort owners have built communal spaces that rival the beauty of the surrounding mountains, and flow seamlessly from formal occasions to casual evenings lounging by the fire. So whether you’re looking for the perfect place to celebrate a wedding, or like us— a couple kids turning five—Glamping Retro has you covered.
