KNOT TYING – Knot tying is an important skill in many outdoor activities. Come learn some basic knots at the Open Air Chapel (main bath house if its raining).
BEAD CRAFT – Native peoples along the Warriors Path used beads, and so can you! Find out about Cherokee beading, then make your own personalized bead bracelet. Meet at the Campfire circle, east end of the main campground. In case of rain, meet at the main bath house.
SUNSET HIKE -Come watch the sun go down across the green East Tennessee Hills. Enjoy a moderate hike of about 2 miles – be sure to wear good hiking footwear. Meet at the park’s mountain bike trail parking area, at the end of Freeman Road, Blountville TN.

WAKE UP WALK -Let’s wake up our senses to morning time in the
forest. Meet at the main bath house for a refreshing morning walk.
LEAF PRINTING – See what you can create using nature’s leaves as your tool! Meet at the Open Air Chapel, main bath house if it rains.
PREDATOR/PREY – Will you be a carnivore, a herbivore, or an omnivore? Will you find your lunch, or BECOME lunch? Try this great game at the Open Air Chapel. (Rain location – Main Bathhouse.)
STORY HOUR-THE LORAX – Come relax under a big shade tree during the heat of the day to enjoy a classic conservation story. Meet at the Boundless Playground.
KID’S TREE WALK – Join park staff for a tree themed walk and activity. Meet at the Boundless Playground.
CREEK CRITTERS – Come find out what critters are hidden in the waters of East Tennessee and what they can tell us about the health of our water. Wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared to get wet! Meet at the Boundless Playground.
TREE COOKIES – Let’s read a small slice of nature! The inside of a tree holds many clues to the outside of the land! Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it is raining.
FOREST TREES – Take a “hike” from the comfort of your seat. Enjoy a “tour” of our nearby forest habitats using words and pictures. After the slide show, we’ll share a demonstration of how to identify our local trees. Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or (former) pool entrance if it is raining.

TISSUE PAPER FLOWERS – Join us for this classic flower-themed craft while learning some more about native wildflowers! Meet at the main bath house.
JUNIOR RANGERS: TRAIL CLEANUP – Make our park a cleaner, healthier environment! You’ll make a big difference for our earth, and begin to earn your Junior Ranger badge. Meet at the main bath house. Be prepared to get dirty!
BUILD A BUTTERFLY – Create your very own paper butterfly, and discover more about these winged wonders! Meet at the main bath house.
SOIL CREATURES – Discover the amazing world of life in the ground at our feet. Meet at the Open Air Chapel to “dig into” a new world.
SPIDER WALK – The Granddaddy Long Legs is one of the most well-known creepy crawlers of Tennessee, but how well do we actually know them? Come take a short hike looking for the multi-legged friends of Warriors Path State Park and get to know them better. Meet at the Open Air Chapel. In case of rain, meet at main bathhouse.
TENNESSEE SYMBOLS BINGO – Do you know our Tennessee state symbols? Let’s test our State Signs knowledge with a bingo game. Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it’s raining.
NATIVE AMERICAN TALES – Native Americans had their own myths and legends about why the natural world works the way it does. For any lore-lover, the authentic stories told here will awaken your mind to the world around you. Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or meet at the main bathhouse if it rains.
FLASHY FIREFLIES – Everyone loves watching and catching nature’s fireworks! Join us for a short talk on fireflies and then catch (and release) some fireflies with park staff. Meet at the Open Air Chapel.

FALL CREEK LOOP TRAIL -Let’s hike the park’s most naturally diverse trail! Enjoy beautiful vistas of the summer fields, as we search for signs of the unique habitats in the open country. Drive to the camp store, and we’ll carpool to the start of a two hour hike.
WHO AM I? – Let’s play a game of twenty questions with a new natural twist! Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or the main bath house if it is raining.
JOURNALING AT THE OVERLOOK – Bring your own nature journal (or a notepad) and let’s begin a short hike along the Overlook Trail. You will surely find something exciting to record! Meet at the (former) Pool Parking Lot and we will carpool or caravan to the trail head together.
NATURE PICTURE FRAMES – Come get ready to “frame” your favorite scene from the park! Meet at the main bath house to make your own picture frame.
STORYTELLING WITH CHALK – Throughout time, people have told stories, and used pictures to illustrate them. Let’s use our words and our hands to draw some new Tennessee tales! We’ll provide the chalk, you provide the creativity! Meet at the main bath house.

MEET THE SNAKES – They’re not the fearsome creatures you’ve been led to believe! Come out and learn the facts about these interesting and helpful animals. Meet at the Open Air Chapel. In case of rain, meet at the main bath house.
TENNESSEE TRIVIA – Come test out your skills and see how well you REALLY know our state with this difficult game of trivia! Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it is raining.
TAG – You’re it! You’re the one we need to make all these great tag games work. Meet at the Open Air Chapel for all kinds of tag games. If it is raining, meet at the main bath house.
NIGHT HIKE TO SINKING WATERS – It’s a whole different world out there at night! Tonight is our chance to discover the peace and the excitement of a night in the Sinking Waters wetland. Bring a dim flashlight and drive to the camp store. We’ll carpool out to the park back country.

BREAKFAST WITH THE BIRDS – Come wake up to our feathered neighbors. Meet at the main bath house to begin a stroll through bird country! (The first 12 people to come get free doughnut & juice!)
HIKE PAW PAW CREEK – Come hike a remote wetland trail. Discover the amazing natural diversity in these lush green woods. Meet at the Mountain Bike Trail parking lot. Be sure to wear good hiking footwear.
ANIMAL TRACK DRAWING – Learn to “track down” local wildlife. Use your creative skills at the same time! Your unique design is only a “footstep” away. Meet at the main bath house.
RELAY RACES – Join us for a fun nature themed relay race. Wear sturdy footwear and be prepared to run! Meet at the Open Air Chapel.
POPSICLE STICK WEAVING – Appalachia has a rich tradition of weaving. Come try your hand at a simple weaving project using popsicle sticks and yarn. Meet at the Open Air Chapel, main bath house if it’s raining.
POLLINATOR CRAFT -Pollinators don’t get to have all the fun! Meet park staff at the main bath house to create a fun pollinator themed craft.
EARTHBALL GAMES – Let’s have a ball – a six foot tall ball!! Meet at the Open Air Chapel for some lively, cooperative games. If it rains, we’ll have some smaller ball games at the main bath house.
NATURE PICTIONARY – Picture this: a great game for the whole family, with lots of nature discovery built right in! Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it is raining.
CAMPFIRE – What a perfect combination: A dark night, a crackling fire, and some local, traditional ghost tales. Meet at the campfire circle, east end of the main campground. If it is raining, we’ll have an indoor “campfire” at the (former) pool entrance.

HIKE THE BONEYARD – Come explore a remote corner of Warriors’ Path, full of nature discovery. This will be a challenging 2-3 mile hike – be sure to wear comfortable clothes, good hiking shoes, and bring drinking water. Meet at the Mountain Bike Trail parking area, at the end of Freeman Rd, Blountville TN.
NATURE SCAVENGER HUNT – Do you have a sharp eye for nature? Discover the natural wonders around us and see if you can find all the items on the list! Meet at the Open Air Chapel.
CRITTER PATHS – Be a critter detective! Find out what’s been wandering through the campground habitats. Meet at the camp store.
FIELD SWEEP – This green world at our feet is teeming with amazing life. Help us “sweep up” some field discoveries. Meet at the Open Air Chapel.
SKULLS – NATURE’S TOOL BOX – Every animal carries along all the tools it needs for survival! Come investigate some natural “tool boxes,” and find out more about each animal’s job! Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it is raining.
CLEAN UP WALK – Want to help the wildlife of East Tennessee and explore our park at the same time? Make our park a cleaner, healthier environment by joining us for a walk around the park! Meet at the main bath house. Be prepared to get dirty!
FAWN LOOP NIGHT HIKE – It’s a whole different world out there at night! Tonight is our chance to discover the peace and the excitement of forest life on the dark side of the day. Bring a dim flashlight and sturdy shoes. Meet at the Mountain Bike parking lot, at the end of Freeman Road, Blountville.
