Cost: $75 Adults, $50 Children (ages 10-17)
We are excited to continue the roll out of our new Flatwater Safety & Rescue for Paddlers Class on Sun Aug 30! This one-day course led by instructors Deb Briscoe and Scott Fisher covers a wide range of topics that will help flat water and open water boaters be safe while paddling on lakes and oceans. Participants learn recognition and avoidance of common hazards, execution of self-rescue techniques, and simple rescues of paddlers requiring assistance. Emphasis is placed both on personal safety and on simple, commonly used skills. This course is intended for anyone with an interest in helping themselves and others be safer on the water. No previous paddling or rescue experience required and certificate of completion awarded upon course conclusion. Cost is $75 for adults and $50 for children. Kayaks, PFDs, and paddles are available for an additional $25 – select “Kayak & Gear Add-on” during checkout. Minimum age is 10. For more information and to register click here.
