Back to Depot Block Party

With West Depot Street sidewalks and street surface nearing completion, organizations are beginning to plan events on the Festival Block from Main Street to Irish Street. (Stay tuned for more details on these exciting plans!)

The Town of Greeneville would like to invite you to a Back to Depot Block Party and Grand Opening of this block on Saturday, August 19th.

There will be several events throughout the day with a “Back to the Future” theme. Many of the Depot Street businesses are going to stay open late for shopping, food and drink, and special discounts. There will be a screening of the movie at the Capitol Theatre in the afternoon with a costume contest, and in the evening, we’ll have 50s – 80s decades dance music from DJ Robbie Britton, carnival-style food vendors, special art presentations, and kids’ activities.

Main Street: Greeneville will be having their Barrel & Leaf Event at the Nickle Ridge Winery, and the Greene County Partnership will help kick off the opening of the block! The Greeneville Noon Rotary Club will have a special unveiling on the street, and there will be speeches and updates on the history and the future of Depot and Downtown Greeneville! We cannot wait to see you all there!
