28th Annual Taste of Greeneville

May 2, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$12
The 28th annual “Taste of Greeneville” will be held on Tuesday, May 2, beginning at 6 p.m. on the General Morgan Inn Terrace (or in the ballroom in case of bad weather), a press release from Main Street: Greeneville says.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the programs of the GFWC Greeneville Woman’s Club and Main Street: Greeneville, co-hosts of the event.
Local restaurants and others in the food industry will provide attendees with samples of food, drinks or desserts that they proudly display in their decorated space. Some will offer coupons and specials that only those attending will receive.
Invitations to participate have been sent to many of those within the local food industry, however, Jann Mirkov, executive director with Main Street: Greeneville urges anyone interested in presenting this year to email a request for registration forms to director@mainstreetgreeneville.org and put the words Taste of Greeneville in the subject line.
“Each year we hear from interested vendors that we missed getting in touch with; so if you are out there and want to join us please email me with your request for information as space is limited,” Mirkov said in the release.
Tickets for the Taste of Greeneville are $12 each this year and may be purchased at the front desk of the General Morgan Inn, Main Street: Greeneville office, 310 S. Main Street, Richland Creek Gifts, 129A N. Main Street, or through members of both the GFWC Greeneville Woman’s Club and Main Street: Greeneville Board.
Ann Van Buskirk, of the GFWC Greeneville Woman’s Club International Outreach Committee and one of the event’s co-hosts, said she is “amazed” that though the first Taste of Greeneville event happened more than a quarter-century ago, “people continue to support us just like it was yesterday. They look forward to the annual Taste of Greeneville and all the goodies the vendors bring to share. We encourage everyone to get their tickets early as the event is usually a sellout.”
Further information is availble from the Main Street: Greeneville office at 639-7102.
