Abingdon: Main Street Busker Fest

Weird and wonderful street performers will fill downtown Abingdon for the 4th Annual Main Street Busker Fest on Saturday, September 1st. The main event is 12-5pm with Buskers After Dark at 8-10pm and the Imagination Station We’ve lined up acts from all over the region & country, including several new circus acts, to thrill your senses. From fire-eaters to magicians, contortionists, mimes, one-man bands and everything in between, there won’t be a corner of the Main Street that will disappoint. The festival is FREE! Enjoy a weekend in our beautiful town, voted by USA Today as one of the Top 10 Towns in the South.
There is something for all ages! The Imagination Station, presented by William King Museum of Art & Barter Youth Academy is all for kids & kids at heart from 11-3pm on the Barter Green. Join them for FREE interactive craft making and improv workshops. Wear your costumes & bring your friends! If you have a little performer on your hands, they can busk too!

BuskerFest 2018 on Main Street

Buskers After Dark at the Abingdon Market Pavilion
The antics of the day keep going into the night for guests 21+ . Buskers After Dark is a night of up-close and untamed performances, including roving performances which offer a chance to mingle with the best buskers of the festival. Attendees are welcome to attend in costume, adding to the magic of the night. In keeping with the spirit of the festival, attendees are encouraged to bring a “tip” for Abingdon Main Street, a donation at the door. The evening event will entertain guests 21 and older with unedited amusement including fire jugglers, magicians, acrobats, beverages and comedy from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Abingdon Market Pavilion.
