While her colors are often muted and images hazy, Anne Harris’ paintings are searing in their honesty and brutal frankness. Her paintings, mostly self-portraits, employ a combination of modernist and old masterly skills to create a luminous, delightfully weird state of reality that is painfully frank, yet still dreamlike.
