Becoming a Naturalist

Have you ever aspired to learn more about the natural world around you? Many people who learn to make these observations and learn more about them have earned the title “Naturalist.” Join Park Ranger Phil Hylen at 10AM on Friday, February 15th at the old park restaurant above cabins 1-20 to awaken your inner naturalist and learn how to make deeper observations about nature. This mini-workshop will give a very basic overview of how to notice details in nature, record your observations, and learn more about them. This program will include a class-room portion and an outdoor session. Be sure to dress in layers and be prepared for precipitation. Be sure to bring a camera for any good wildlife photo ops.
Registration for this program is free but limited to 10 individuals.
