Black Friday “Goodnight Moon” Hike
Start off your Black Friday with a hike from darkness into dawn! Enjoy an invigorating hike to the highest overlook in the park. Weather and sky conditions permitting, we’ll be able to say “goodnight” to the nearly-full moon, and “good morning” to the first light of dawn.
Even if it’s too cloudy to see the setting moon, we’ll still be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of a dark predawn in the forest!
Be sure to wear sturdy hiking boots, and be prepared for a steep and rocky trail. Dress for the weather, and bring a flashlight with fresh (or freshly-charged) batteries.
Meet at Devil’s Backbone Trail parking area – NE corner of Hemlock Bridge.
