About Sulphur Springs String Dippers
The Sulphur Springs String Dippers are part of an ongoing, dynamic tradition of southern Appalachian music. The vehicle for their artistic expression is old-time fiddle music played, past and present, in the hills and hollows of western North Carolina and East Tennessee. Old-time music is the binder or the roux in the Sulphur Springs String Dippers performances, but the music is ever-evolving every time the duo hits the stage.
