Ghostbusters Day

The Jackson Theatre is kicking off its fall horror series with Slimer Cinema: Ghostbusters Day, a full day of spooky fun and fan-favorite films on Saturday, September 27.

The event features a double feature of the iconic Ghostbusters films, interactive activities, and themed treats, all set in downtown Jonesborough’s historic Jackson Theatre.

Event Schedule:

● 3:00 PM: Ghostbusters (1984)

● 5:00 PM: Ghostbusters Trivia with Buds (FREE to the public, no ticket required)

● 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Meet the Smoky Mountain Ghostbusters (FREE meet-and-greet)

● 7:00 PM: Ghostbusters II (1989)

● All Afternoon: Spooky baked goods from Wild Vines Bakery

● 9:00 PM: True and Chilling Tales Tour with the Heritage Alliance

Guests can enjoy both movies on the big screen or stop by for free community activities. With trivia, photo ops, spooky treats, and a late-night walking tour, there is something for everyone, whether you are a lifelong fan or new to the Ghostbusters universe.

Tickets are available now at thejacksontheatre.com/calendar. Their box office hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
