Girl Scout Day

Junior Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to take part in several activities within Natural Tunnel State Park.
Explore the ground beneath your feet as groups crawl around looking at a variety of cave formations and cave life. Then each group will see the naturally made tunnel up close and learn about how it was formed.
Next, travel into the naturally made tunnel to hear about previous explorers that have trekked through near-by creeks over 200 years ago.
To end the day the groups will complete a park service project that will tie into National Day of Service. Cost for each girl is $16.
If girls would like Natural Tunnel patches the patch cost will be $3.86 per patch. Patch cost not included in the $16 fee. Pre-registration is required by calling (276) 940-1643 or e-mail Megan Krager at megan.krager@dcr.virginia.gov
