The Capitol invites you to take a walk on the wilder side of movies with our Cult Classics at The Capitol Film Series. Highlighting those films that live outside of the “mainstream”, but have found a devoted audience through word-of-mouth, home video, streaming, or TV experiences.
For our first film, we present one of the most outrageous films of the 1990s – the lone, big-screen outing by Canadian comedy troupe, The Kids in The Hall: Brain Candy.
A pharmaceutical company rushes a new anti-depressant to the market before testing the drug could be fully completed. The pill makes people remember their happiest memory, and although it’s successful, it has unfortunate side effects. See what happens to the populace, the drug’s inventor, and the company when the side effects hit in this roaring comedy!
We recommend this one for those who enjoy movies like The Rocky Horror Picture Show or have attended our Rocky Horror movie night before. Brain Candy is rated R and those under 17 will not be admitted without parent.
