Jackson Theatre: Amythyst Kiah

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Amythyst Kiah is set to perform her newest album, Still + Bright, at The Jackson Theatre in downtown Jonesborough on December 28 at 8 p.m. The evening promises a captivating showcase, in the newly renovated theatre, of Kiah’s exceptional talent, showcasing her unique fingerpicking skills.
Still + Bright finds Kiah exploring the vast expanse of her inner world. Produced by Butch Walker and featuring songs with Billy Strings, SG Goodman, and Avi Kaplan, Kiah offers a darkly cinematic twist with her third album. With Kiah’s graceful banjo work, Still + Bright fully affirms her as an artist of both daring originality and immense depth.
Her album– which features collaborations with S.G. Goodman, Billy Strings and Avi Kaplan (Pentatonix) – also marks a complete transformation in her songwriting process: her first time opening up her approach and working with co-writers on an album. The album features co-writes with punk legend Tim Armstrong, Sadler Vaden (guitarist/vocalist for Jason Isbell’s 400 Unit) and Sean McConnell (Brittney Spencer, Bethany Cosentino).
