Jackson Theatre: Flatt Out Blue

Jonesborough, TN – The Jackson Theatre is proud to welcome Flatt Out Blue to the stage on Thursday, July 10 at 8:00 p.m. in downtown Jonesborough.
What began as a once-a-month jam session in a Church Hill, Tennessee living room has grown into one of the region’s most exciting young bluegrass bands. Flatt Out Blue is a six-piece group based out of southwest Virginia and northeast Tennessee, blending traditional and progressive bluegrass with tight harmonies and energetic instrumentation that appeals to audiences of all ages.
Formed in 2023, the band’s lineup includes sibling duo Jordan and Jacob McPherson, who grew up performing gospel music in their family’s group, and guitarist Breaden Christian, whose vocals and right-hand drive recall the energy of Jimmy Martin. Isaac Saults holds down the upright bass with a Stanley Brothers flair, while dobro player Corey Nelms and band organizer Andrew Beverly-known as “Coach”-round out the group’s dynamic sound. With influences like Flatt & Scruggs, Blue Highway, and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, their sets are packed with heart, tradition, and drive.
