Johnson County Cruisers at Watauga Lake Winery
Join us this weekend as we celebrate our new AVA designation and become part of the “High Country Wine Trail”. Watauga Lake Winery joins Banner Elk Winery, Grandfather Vineyard and Winery, and Linville Falls Winery as part of the Appalachian High Country American Viticulture Area.
Beginning on Friday, June 2nd, each winery will be hosting special events. On Saturday, Watauga Lake Winery will be hosting the “Johnson Country Cruisers” as they show off their vintage automobiles. Watauga Lake Winery will also be firing up a wood-burning pizza oven offering authentic Italian style pizzas from noon until 3 p.m. (Courtesy of Sysco Foods) on Friday and Saturday.
Pick up a trail passport at any of the 4 wineries and begin on your journey. Once you have visited all 4 wineries, you will be given a special thank you gift. Come out and experience “wine with a view”.
