Jonesborough: The Stories of Christmas
December 8, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$5The Stories of Christmas will be celebrated on Sunday, December 8 from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Storytelling Resource Place, 104 Spring Street in Jonesborough. The event is intended for audience members who are 7 years old and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Stories of the Christmas Season will be read and told by: Jimmy Neil Smith, Kiran Singh Sirah, Richard Griffin, Walter Buford and Rebecca Alexander. There will be Hot Cocoa with Peppermint Sticks for all and there will be Gingerbread Cookie Decorating for children.
Admission is $5 per family. All tickets will be sold at the door. Since seating is limited, admission will be on a first come – first serve basis. The doors will open at 12:30 p.m. We suggest you arrive a little early to get a seat.
Since there is plenty of parking on the Fox Street side of the house, we suggest you turn from Main onto Fox and go left into the Courthouse Parking lot. After you park, you can just walk across Fox Street to the drive way of Storytelling Resource Place (SRP). There are limited spaces in the SRP parking lot. If you approach the house from Spring Street you just walk around the Gazebo to the house.
The volunteers at the Storytelling Resource Place are very pleased to have so many town storytellers and readers to bring these stories to you. It is a first time event. We look forward to welcoming you.
