Holiday Honored Traditions Return to the International Storytelling Center
(Jonesborough, Tenn.)- This holiday season, the International Storytelling Center (ISC) is pleased to present special concerts from the wildly popular Uncalled for Trio, featuring Bil Lepp, Kim Weitkamp, and Andy Offutt Irwin, as well as Tim Lowry ‘s beloved presentation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The concerts are a special feature of ISC’s Storytelling Live! series, a showcase of the country’s top storytellers.
The Uncalled for Trio will appear December 5-7, at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm each day, with a brand new set of holiday stories and songs titled Holiday Blunderland. The Trio’s holiday shows have been an ISC tradition for over a decade.
For a truly special seasonal outing, see Storyteller Tim Lowry on Saturday, December 13th at 2:00 and 7:30 pm in his renowned one-man show, Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Dressed in Victorian costume, Lowry invokes the spirit of Mr. Dickens with his quick wit, rapid-fire delivery, and flair for the dramatic. The Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Future along with Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim will return to the stage for these memorable performances.
Admission to all concerts is $20 and all shows are appropriate for ages 10 and up. Reservations are strongly recommended, though walk-in seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Refreshments follow all shows.
The International Storytelling Center is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For tickets, more information about Storytelling Live! or to make a group reservation, call (800) 952-8392 ext. 222 or (423) 913-1276.
