Limestone Creek Hike through History

David Crockett Birthplace State Park has a rich history beyond being the birthplace of Tennessee’s favorite pioneer son. It was the Nolichucky Settlement, home to Fort Lee mustered by John Sevier in 1775, and residence of the Rush Strong family who opened the Strong’s Springs Inn in 1889. It has a rich variety of flora and fauna to enjoy. Join a costumed interpreter for a guided tour of significant sites on Limestone Creek. There is a $3.00 fee for participants, and tickets can be purchased at the Visitor Center or Campground Office.
