Linda Gorham uses movement, humor, and sometimes zaniness as she tells imaginative folktales, twisted fairy tales, and history stories updated with ‘attitude.’ Audience members can expect the unexpected with engaging stories that often showcase surprising twists and unconventional humor. An award-winning recording artist, Gorham has performed internationally as a storyteller, speaker and workshop leader, including tours in Greece, South Africa, and Egypt. She was co-festival director of the 2014 National Black Storytelling Festival and Conference in Chicago. “Linda can rivet people of all walks of life with tales from all over the world … To some, Gorham is a hip, here-and-now, modern day griot.” – Chicago Tribune
