Lunchtime Live Concert Series
July 17 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
The Kingsport Public Library is pleased to announce the return of the Lunchtime Live concert series.
Two great shows are scheduled to take place this July, showcasing the musical talents of local performers and the tasty treats of some well-known food trucks. This summer’s performers will be:
- Ron Short & the Possum Playboys at Allandale Mansion – July 10 at 12 p.m.
- Dave Eggar & Bristol Lightning at the Kingsport Farmers Market – July 17 at 11:30 a.m.
The Fowl Play Café food truck will be at both concerts; the Hot Dog Hut food truck will be at the July 17 concert.
The lunchtime concerts last approximately one hour and are free and open to the public. Simply bring a chair or blanket and enjoy lunch while listening to the music.
The concerts series is sponsored by Friends of the Kingsport Public Library. For more information visit www.kingsportlibrary.org or call the library at 423-224-2539.

About the City of Kingsport
Founded in 1917, the City of Kingsport (pop. 57,500) is located on the Tennessee-Virginia border at the crossroads of I-81 and I-26 near the geographic center of the eastern United States. The city is widely known as a planned community, designed by renowned city planner John Nolen and wrapping around the foot of Bays Mountain – a 3,788-acre park, nature preserve, planetarium and observatory. Kingsport is recognized as an International Safe Community by the National Safety Council, a Healthier Tennessee community, and won the 2009 Harvard Innovations in American Government Award for its higher education initiatives. While many city names are duplicated throughout the U.S., there’s only one Kingsport – a fact that invokes community pride, known locally as the “Kingsport Spirit.” For more information, please visit www.kingsporttn.gov.
