McKinney Center Fall Market

August 23 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

The McKinney Center will host an Art/Craft show on Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Vendors will be set up in the parking lot directly outside of the McKinney Center and throughout the building. The McKinney Center Fall Market will feature over 40 artists and vendors. A few examples of vendors’ items are pottery, handmade journals, sea glass art, wooden sculptures, jewelry and paintings.

 

Sista Bigfoot Soul Food & BBQ will be offering lunch and dinner. Selections last year included pulled pork, ribs, smoked meatloaf, and fish. There are picnic benches behind the McKinney Center for visitors to sit and eat during the event. Megan Helton with Sprinkled by Cookie Crate will be there with ice cream and cookies.’

 

Live music will take place during the day in the auditorium. On Saturday, August 23, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Heartstrings, Noon to 1:30 p.m., Bratfolk with Roxanne McDaniels, 2 to 3 p.m., The Academics to be family-friendly, uplifting, full of beautiful arts, crafts, music, and food.

The event is free and open to be public.

 

The building and parking are ADA accessible. These will be parking attendants to assist those with ADA accessible parking needs. For more information on this or upcoming markets, please call the McKinney Center at 423.753.0562

About the McKinney Center at Booker T. Washington: The mission of the McKinney Center at Booker T. Washington is to provide a comprehensive program through Jonesborough’s Mary B. Martin Program for the Arts which teaches various art skills to all participants through a quality program of instruction open to all segments of Jonesborough’s population. In addition, a primary mission of the Center is to enhance minority participation in the planning and implementation in all activities in Jonesborough while specifically celebrating the contribution of the African-American community in the growth and development of the Town. The activities of the McKinney Center are designed to enhance the quality of life of all Jonesborough residents.
