Holidays Around the World Fundraiser at the McKinney Center
Enjoy an enchanted evening strolling through beautiful “countries” decked out for the winter season at the McKinney Center’s Holidays Around the World fundraiser on Monday, November 29, held at the McKinney Center.
This tour of beautifully decorated holiday scenes on display in the auditorium also includes a gourmet soup dinner to-go from Main Street Café, as well as a hand-crafted ceramic keepsake ornament to take home.
Live music fills the air, and photo opportunities abound, as guests interact at a safe distance with seasonal characters in their gorgeous lighted backdrops. Guests may visit with Santa Claus, Victorian English carolers, Colonial American pioneers, a live nativity, a Chanukah Festival of Lights, a Kwanzaa celebration, fireworks on a beach in Rio, a Japanese New Year and even the Grinch makes an appearance. There are fourteen different “stops” in all, with tours starting at 5:30, 6, 6:30, 7 and 7:30.
Tickets for this fundraiser supporting the McKinney Center and the StoryTown Radio Show and Podcast are $30 per person, and available by calling the Historic Jonesborough Visitor Center at 423.753.1010 or online at Jonesborough.com/tickets.
