Mother’s Day Express

Celebrate Mom on the Mother’s Day Express May 9, 2026 Hosted by the George L. Carter Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society and in conjunction with the Johnson City Railroad Experience. Join us as we celebrate mom on the Three Rivers Rambler and the Star of Knoxville Join us as we leave Johnson City on private motor coaches to our destination in Knoxville, TN., where we will board the Three Rivers Rambler’s Steam Engine, #203, the “Lindy”. We will then travel through the scenic heart of Knoxville, the University of Tennessee, downtown, and historical sites to the “Three Rivers Trestle” where the French Broad and Holston Rivers join to form the Tennessee River. ***Three Rivers Rambler reserves the right to change the operating power without notice for any reason. The #203 will have a diesel as a backup. We will celebrate mom with lunch on the Star of Knoxville, which is one of four authentic paddlewheel riverboats in the United States. We will enjoy a delicious meal while cruising the Tennessee River, past iconic downtown landmarks while you spend that special time with mom and enjoy some true southern hospitality.
