Moths are mysterious creatures to many people. Cousins to the familiar and beautiful butterflies, moths are
wonderous in their own right. Many are just as beautiful as butterflies and are fascinating to learn about. Come
to the Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park Visitor Center on Saturday evening, July 24 at 8:30 pm to see a
short PowerPoint presentation on “The Moths of Northeast Tennessee”. Then we will check the moth light set-
up to observe the many types of moths and other night flying insects that are drawn in. Or you can just stop by
any time between 9:00 and 11:00 pm to see the moths. Bring your cameras for this event.
