Old Times Fire Starting
January 18, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join Ranger Tim at the Campfire Circle (near the parking lot) to experience many old time fire building techniques that have been used over the centuries by people living in Southern Appalachia. We will explore bow drills, and flint and steel, then move to “more” modern technologies like magnesium.
Feel free to bring marshmallows or any other foods to roast over our old timey fire.
Event will be cancelled in case of snow, rain or high winds.
