Quill Pen Making & Writing

Join Museum Curatorial Assistant Chad Bogart and learn how to make and write with your very own feather writing pen. See how writing instruments of the 18thcentury penned such famous documents as the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Also learn about the different types of ink and paper used in colonial America. All children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult as we will be using sharp tools to make the pens. The accompanying adult is not required to pay the class fee. Program will be held in the Gathering Room of the park Visitor Center.
