Wilderness First Aid Course- 2 Day

With warmer, longer days we get to spend more time outdoors doing what we love. However, wilderness environments create special situations not usually encountered in an urban or suburban environments. With ASHI Wilderness First Aid training, first aid providers in a wilderness setting will be better prepared to respond when faced with limited resources, longer times to care for someone, and decisions about when and how fast to evacuate an ill or injured person. This comprehensive 16-hour course led by Jerry Smith conforms to the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid. It also meets or exceeds the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, 2017 Edition. CPR is not included but is typically scheduled as a separate class the day prior or after for those wishing to add it. Previous completion of Basic First Aid recommended but not required. Age 14+. Course does not include CPR but can be combined with the class the evening before on Jul 11.
