This Lavender Farm Belongs on Your Spring and Summer Bucket List

If you’ve been looking for a reason to slow down and enjoy late spring into early summer, this is it. Midfield Lavender Farm in Bulls Gap is back for the 2026 season, and it’s more beautiful and even more inviting than ever.

After a season of major growth, the farm has added new features, expanded its space, and created an experience for visitors. Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’ve been before, this is the year to go.

What’s New This Year

You’ll notice the updates as soon as you arrive.

A new welcome pavilion, created from planks used for the original barn, now serves as a central check-in space and gathering area. It’s a simple addition, but one that makes your visit feel more enjoyable—and gives you a place to step out of the sun or a quick rain shower.

The new entrance sign makes the farm feel instantly welcoming the moment you arrive.

Inside, the gift shop has grown, and there’s even more to check out! You’ll find local artisan finds and, of course, their classic lavender goodies.

Ease Into the Season

New this year, you don’t have to wait for peak bloom to visit!

During May, the farm is offering a pre-season experience, where the greenhouse and gift shop are open Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No tickets or reservations are needed, making it a great option if you’re looking for a quieter, more laid-back visit.

U-Pick Season is the Main Event

When the lavender is in full bloom, this place really comes to life.

Walking through the rows, cutting your own bundles, and taking in the views—it’s simple, but it’s one of those experiences people end up loving more than they expect.

2026 U-Pick Season:

  • June 4 – June 28
  • Tuesday–Saturday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

You’ll also find:

  • Group visits available by reservation (call/text 423-292-9066)
  • Evening photography sessions (6 p.m. – 9 p.m. call/text 423-967-1176 to reserve times)

More Than Just Lavender

Yes, the lavender is the highlight, but there’s more to explore while you’re there.

The farm is home to over 1,300 lavender plants across nine varieties, along with a wildflower trail that’s been thoughtfully improved this year. With sections refreshed throughout the season, it’s easier to walk, explore, and enjoy the blooms without navigating overgrown areas.

It’s perfect for photos, families, or simply taking your time and enjoying the scenery.

Don’t Leave Without Stopping in the Shop

Before you head out, make time for the gift shop.

Jeannie and Brian create their lavender products right on the farm, including neck wraps, eye pillows, dried bundles, and sachets. You’ll also find local honey, lavender treats, and new items from regional makers added this season.

It’s the kind of place where you go in for one thing and leave with a few favorites.

Plan Your Visit

  • $10 per person (children 12 and under are free)
  • Includes a lavender sachet or a glass of farm’s signature lavender lemonade
  • U-pick bundles: $5 each

Group discounts of 20% are available for 10 or more, making it a great option for outings, garden clubs, church groups, schools, or small gatherings.
