MONDAY, MAY 30 7:00 PM WEATHER OR NOT - People have always wondered about the weather, especially what kind of weather is coming. Come share some old-timey weather folklore, and some modern-day wisdom to help you guess what weather to expect. Meet at the Open Air Chapel, or main bath house if it is raining.

Ready for a real HIKING ADVENTURE? Join us as we climb up Rye Patch and Taylor Ridge, a rarely-visited side of Holston Mountain. We'll explore high-country geology and mountain plant and animal communities. March 19, 9 AM - 5 PM  SPRING HIKE - Buckeye Falls View  Join the TN State Park Rangers on an adventurous nearly 10 mile hike to the top of Chigger Ridge. View one of the largest waterfalls east of the Rockies Mtns, and plenty of smaller waterfalls along the way too! This event is

March 19, 9 AM - Noon  SPRING HIKE - Wildflower Walk  Come to enjoy a guided 2 mile hike through the early spring woodlands. Come also to enjoy a rich display of early season wildflowers! This event is FREE! 

March 17, 7 - 9:30 PM  FROG WATCH @ Jacob’s Nature Park  Celebrate the approach of Spring with a frog concert! Enjoy a wetland field trip to listen to all the frog sounds at nearby Jacob's Nature Park. Each participant will also receive a CD of native frog sounds. This event costs $4. 

March 5, 1 - 3 PM  WEED WRANGLE - Garlic Mustard Pull.  Garlic Mustard chokes wildflowers and is toxic to butterflies. Help remove these destructive plants, and make YOUR State Park a healthier habitat! This volunteer opportunity is FREE! 

February 26, 10 AM - Noon  ADOPT A TREE.  Help us bring “re-leaf” to Northeast Tennessee by planting tomorrow’s forests. For every tree seedling that you help us plant in the park, you get to take one home to plant in your own neighborhood. Come early - supplies of trees are limited. This event is

Winter Tree Keys - JANUARY 19  Trees are cool shade, fresh air, wildlife habitat and a "feast" for our eyes! We can enjoy and appreciate trees without knowing their names.
