Bikes, Burgers, and Bristol, Baby!

Visit this border city in Tennessee by bike for a chance to slow down and experience every mile. There is something around every corner, from musical heritage to local artisan shops. For all the culture, good eats, and scenery, start by exploring Bristol, baby.

Come for the Culture

Visit the Veterans Memorial at Cumberland Square Park to see the AH-1H Cobra! Just down the street, you will find the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. The museum tells the story of the legendary 1927 Bristol Sessions, an event in history referred to by scholars as the “big bang” of country music. This is an attraction you don’t want to miss!

Enjoy Top Tier Dining

Peddling all those miles will work up an appetite. Grab a classic diner burger and fries from the Original Burger Bar, “famously known as the last place Hank Williams, Sr. was seen alive.” All the burgers on the menu are named after Williams’ songs making for a fun way to place an order.

Stay for the Scenery

For an added adventure, ride the Mendota Trail through Virginia from Bristol. The trail spans 6.1 miles each way winding throughout the city and farm country, with more miles under construction. Learn more about this Rails to Trail project here.

While you’re in town, stay at The Sessions Hotel~ The Place to Stay and Play.

There’s More Up Here!

Grab dessert at The Southern Churn on State Street or from one of these Tennessee Chocolatiers!

Visit Lost State Distilling, voted “America’s Best New Craft Distillery!”

Shop at The Pinnacle or catch the 2023 Food City Dirt Race while you’re in town.
