Carter County Omnium

The Carter County Omnium is an exciting event for both participants and spectators! With its three races, including a climbing road race, a time trial, and a criterium, it offers a diverse and challenging experience. Participants have used this event as a stepping stone to compete in UCI teams in Europe or upgrade their category. 2025 is the 41st Roan Groan. The course, which features a category 1 climb of 7.4 miles, is incredibly challenging, reminiscent of the Col d’Aspin in the Pyrenees. The Pro 1-2 field’s additional loop on Simerly Creek Rd adds even more climbing, making it comparable to a stage of the Tour de France. There are various race distances and categories to accommodate different skill levels. Free registration option for junior racers in the Junior fields is a great way to encourage young talent as well. Overall the Carter County Omnium offers an exciting and challenging experience for both seasoned cyclists and rising stars.
